Killing a human. | | Friends, at times, we would like to kill a person, but since most of us are law fearing induviduals, we tend to keep quiet. If you get a chance, to kill a person, if you are not going to be punished, whom will you kill. Some people might think this question provokes violence. My contention is only in a free and democratic forum like Mylot, we can ask these type of questions and get away with it. How many of you agree with me.

What kind of person asks such a question?
Is this person really looking for an answer to this question, or is he looking for validation in his own feelings?
Is he paranoid and thinking someone is out to kill HIM, and wants to see if his name comes up in any of the received answers?
Just a thought.......

Coming to your answer, I am from India, and anybody can look into my profile and know about me, and why should I ask such a question if I am paranoid. The problem with you Americans is, you people are a real paranoid lot and after 9/11, you have become more paranoid. Do not go and see hidden reasons in all serious discussions,

The question about who you would kill?
There is no one in this world that I would want to kill.
Or the question about whether or not we agree with you about being able to ask such a question?
I agree that you should be able to ask any question you want, you just may not receive the answer you were seeking.
I found the post puzzling is all. Of course being law abiding citizens, we should all be unable, and unwilling, to do harm to another person. But that is not what you asked.

Now, to the actual question about killing, I'm assuming you're not talking about self defense or protecting family. You mean killing that can't be justified in any way. And, would I kill someone like that if I wasn't going to be punished. The answer is no. There's also nobody I would want to kill. There have been people I've been very angry with at times, but actually wanting to kill them? It's never happened.
I think there are people who have never wanted to kill someone. Even if they say in a fit of anger "I could kill you" most are speaking figuratively. And, it has nothing to do with the law or being afraid of getting caught. Some people would not kill because they feel taking a life is wrong, even if they could get away with it. This is how I feel. Again, I can't say what I would do if my life were threatened, but barring that, I wouldn't kill anyone, even if I could get away with it.

rameshkumaar57 (1817) | 4 months ago | Angelwriter, this is an hypothetical question, do not mistake me, You are a female. You love your husband, and you have stood the thick and thin, with him. Your husband has become very rich because of you, and now he has a young chick, as his mate, who is younger than your daughter. You are thrown out of the house, and you and your children are in the roads, further he humilates you in front of the young girl. What will you do. If the same thing happens to a man, what will he do. I accept taking a humans life is not right, but at the same time, the same people who talk so much, will be ready to kill anybody if the law is not there.

Hmm, I'd probably yell, call names, maybe cry. Possibly do more cursing than I've done in my lifetime. Go tell a friend what a rotten person he is and how the young chick is ugly and maybe all sorts of other unfair and possibly untrue things about her. But, my actions would be focused on putting myself and my children in a better situation. Especially if I had kids, I wouldn't kill my husband.
We just won't agree on this. And, I'm not offended (I have no problem with hypothetical questions about ethics and things like that). But, I don't believe that everyone would kill if you just find the right amount or right combination of wrong doings by another person to set them off. There are people who really would not kill. Some who wouldn't even do it in self defense. There are actual pacifists who really live by it. I don't consider myself a pacifist. I think killing sometimes is a necessary evil -but that's the operative word, necessary. But, I think even if it was necessary, I'd find it enormously hard. So, I certainly wouldn't kill if it weren't necessary. And, there's no hypothetical scenario where killing would be unnecessary where I would feel, "well, yeah, in that case, I'd kill if I could get away with it."
And, I can't speak for the male gender. But, just as there are some females who would kill, I'd like to think there are some men who wouldn't. But, I've always disliked generalities.

for the second part of the question .. i never intended to kill someone but only wanted to either "humiliate" them or "wish they were dead" or "burn their home"
