It is always difficult for pupils to start writing. Good teachers will guide through activities, say, school guide, classroom cleaning, so that pupils have concrete materials for the writing assignment.

Story telling is similar to writing. In my grandson's class, teacher gave several hard paper in different shapes to each, and ask them to make pictures. Creative teaching and concrete materials for speaking. Do you have similar experiences with your children?

The school syllabus are becoming more challenging nowadays to meet the ever increasing demand of their students who have grown to be more intelligent with the advent of the new age technologies. Teachers have to be creative to create interest in learning and like your schools, manila cards (as it is called here) are also used here for easy learning especially in the kinder pupils. thumbup

AS a ex teacher, I do understand how difficult is to transmit our knowledge to small children. Teaching to "NURS/KG' is more difficult than teaching to secondary students. Abstract
A teaching strategy based on the use of manipulative materials as models and analogs of chemical entities, combined with structured peer interaction, was found to enhance learning of two chemistry concepts for both formal and nonformal operational students. Instruction in the control class was based on lectures, CHEM Study laboratories, and individual work. Both cognitive and affective outcomes were more positive in the experimental class. "
