We went to see Sawyer Brown on Friday

My husband surprised me Friday. He had asked his mom to watch our boys, and she did. He took me to the neighboring town to a festival where Sawyer Brown was playing.
His concert was free and I did not expect to get close, but we did and they were great! They had a great crowd too.
I used to listen to their music alot when I was just out of high school. They were just as good. I don't know where he gets his energy, but he never stands still. He is always bouncing all over the stage.
It was a great get away. We didn't get to stay to the end, as we had to get my son home for meds, but I loved it. Has your mate ever surprised you like that?

I'm not familiar with Sawyer Brown but sounds wonderful and how sweet of your husband to do this.
Years back my husband at the time surprised me with a trip to New Orleans. My #2 son was only 8 weeks old at the time and I didn't see any way I could make the trip, he had to go on business but could take me. He had already called his mother and asked her if she could watch the two boys. Meant her flying to Texas from California but she was thrilled and I trusted her completely. We went for 3 days and it was terrific.

What a sweet thing for your husband to do! You really needed that after these past months of tension and worry. I'm glad you had a chance to have some fun and be with your sweetie all by yourselves!
