Weekend is almost over. Here in the Philippines, it is already 11:15 in the evening. Usually, weekends are the time for the family. Specially on a Sunday, when the family gathers to go to Church or have a family picnic, or just a simple bonding time at home. Some moms, would even cook something special for the whole family. But to some people weekend would be just rest time, time when they can just rest at home, feel a little lazy to do some thing. Maybe to some weekend, would be the time to do chores, like washing the laundry cleaning the house, etc.
This weekend, it was rest time and a bonding time between me and my four years old son. I would teach him in the morning, after that, I will let him play, whatever he likes, while I cook our food. In the after noon we would take our nap. Today, I just cooked grilled liempo and a soup to go with it which my son loves very much. He ate plenty.
How about you, mylotters, what are your usual activities on a weekend? What foods and drinks do you prepare?
thank you for your response. take care all!

None, except my-lotting. I've been wanting to go to church for quite some time but i haven't because of some problems that I am always end-up alone on sundays when people at my house have some other activities.

There's not much difference between weekdays and weekends for me and my family.. haha =D Everything is the same, at night, whereby everybody will be home, doing our own things.. lol =D
BUt in the day, it's kinda different for all of us have our own activities outside, and nobody will be at home.. lol =D There wont be a time whereby the whole family is together, unless it's sleeping time.. haha =D
I guess both me and my brother already had our own programmes, whereby we cant be spending too much time with parents as well..

hi kun,
it's sad when the kids are grown up already, they will have their own activities.
I have to grab the chance that my son still wants to be with me all the time
so, no family for you, huh.
thanks.

As we have a computer shop/internet cafe, we don't have our weekends off, we still work during weekends, wake up and open shop early, close the shop late and sleep late, when you're into small businesses, weekends just don't matter that much. But we do earn better during Fridays to Sundays *grins*. The only activity that we usually do on a Sunday is going to church and then eating lunch with my husband's family, after that we're back to work. If there is a special occasion or there's something good to celebrate we usually do it on a Saturday.
Just like you, I also do the laundry on weekends, specifically on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. We also persevere to make our weekend lunch special, we grill if we can or I cook something grand or we buy some ice cream or cakes for dessert, something small to make a simple day special.

Hello pinkmagnolias,
I understand what you mean when you have small business, weekends is not really a rest. Just like today, I need to go to our small store, to give the salary to our two employees. Instead of resting here at home, I need to go there. oh, how I like spending the weekend at home resting.
thanks for responding!

Hey,
Well the main thing I do on the weekend is post on MyLot and do some of my homework, but that is about all that I actually do. Most of the time I actually post on MyLot for pretty much the whole day, so that leaves almost no time for homework. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I used to go straight to my parents' after my Friday shift and spend the rest of the weekends there with my younger brother and my little cousins who live in our family house a good three-hour ride from my place. That was my routine. Nowadays, I rarely visit them, but I still call and get in touch with them. Usually, I just stay at home, do the chores, watch TV shows or DVD movies or read books, and enjoy the comfort of my new house. There are times when I go out play computer games in an internet cafe nearby, or go to the mall and watch a movie, or movies ^_^, with my fiancee, shop - or window shop, and of course, eat out. ^_^

hello personaave,
good you have a new house. you can do whatever you want everyday. If I have a new house, I would choose to stay at home also to have a good rest.

Hi there Red Amethyst.
Well my weekend activities include of course eating and sleeping, but this are of course a must for every person.
Well mostly in the weekends i get to spend time with my girlfriend. Saturday night we have an event in the game that we play online where we and a bunch of other people play against rival guilds to conquer a castle.
Being an admin in that game, it also involves that i make various events to keep the players happy and to give them prizes.
Apart from this the weekend is also a time to visit my grandma from time to time.
