High heels, Ballerina flats or slippers?? Which one you prefer? |
|
Hi mylotter members:) I'm not very sure to put this discussion under shopping or people interest, but i think maybe people is better, because it is depends on people's preference. Though this discussion involving girls/women, i wish the guys can share their opinion and preference here too.
I love to wear ballerina most of the time, for me it is just convenient, comfortable and not torturing my legs. I do wear high heels sometimes, but just the 4 inch or less, for special occasion like prom night, or maybe to match with my jeans to make my legs look pretty. If i know that I'm going to have a lot of walk, shopping or stand for that particular day, I will never ever wear a high heels. I just felt that the high heels is torturing my feet and knee.
Do you feel tortured by high heels? We have high heels range from 2.5 to 6.inch (i'm not sure, maybe more), for me the 6 inch is a torturing device. And the option haven't counted the platform (another torturing device). We can notice some girls/women window shopping with their high heels (4 inch and above), and my hat really off for them. I did read from somewhere that wearing high heels can change our biomechanics of walking and can have an impact on our body structure. Though there are so called 'steps' we can take to minimize the damage from our killer heels!
Girls, what do you think about high heels? Do you wear high heels everyday, or may be for special occasion? Or you just comfortable with ballerina flats, or slippers.
Guys, what do you think about girls wearing high heels? Do you feel that it is sexy? or you don't have any preference? how about girls wearing just slippers? (For guys, let's just consider the situation is in a shopping mall:).
Please share..

1. med889 (2805) | 3 months ago | As I am not very tall I like to wear high heels, it makes me a bit taller and thus I am happy with it too, but I also like to wear flat shoes as they are very good to wear for feet and for health too.

2. rg0205 (1714) | 3 months ago | I don't really mind either because what's important is whether or not it feels comfortable on my feet. I have sensitive feet so it's not easy for me to find something that I like. Many shoes, even some expensive brands have made my feet pretty sore so I have no preference with the type except that it has to be soft enough for my feet and fit comfortably.

ilovechocolate (710) | 3 months ago | I found out through the internet that high heels can also has contributing factor for retroverted uterus. And if you have some problem like ovarian cyst or myoma you should avoid wearing heels.

|
de_angel97 (141) | 3 months ago | Hi abanerji, thanks for sharing here. I did wear Indian outfits before. As you said, it look nice with high heels=)
Hi Gracee, shame you cannot get a ballerina. have you ever try on Crocs? They have the Olivia, it has the ballerina look, and very comfortable. They might have a bigger size.
Thanks ilovechocolate for sharing the info. I never heard that high heels can cause retroverted uterus. This is serious, fortunately I'm not really often wear high heels.
Take care girls=)

Actually i like wearing high heels but only sometimes, because my husband is a bit short, so I don't want to look like the "giant wife" LOL! but usually I wear flats, I love how it goes with cute dresses and pants, But if I'm going to travel, I definitely into sneakers.

de_angel97 (141) | 3 months ago | We always have to consider our partner when comes to high heels, otherwise as you said, we will become the gigantor.LOL. Ballerina flats always look cute with dress and pants. Sneakers always practical for traveling. We can always run to catch the flight or, sight seeing comfortably:)

6. Graceekwenx (537) | 3 months ago | i like wedge shoes a lot!
I was operated 2 years ago due to bunions. i am heavy built and i had been using high heeled shoes. After that operation, i was advised to wear slip ons. But the problem with slip ons and the problem with me is that i have terrible callouses that can bore the slippers a hole on the middle. that is why i appreciate wedge shoes a lot. I get to flaunt the height that i was born with and i get to be fashionista as well.

de_angel97 (141) | 3 months ago | Hi Gracee, my mum used to create a hole on the middle of her slip ons too.lol. Pity her, it is very hard for her to search for the right footwear:(
There is a lot nice wedge out there, but i never get one for myself. I think i'm going to get one sooner:)
Be well=)

8. prinzcy (2172) | 3 months ago | I can wear heels and feel comfortable. But my maximum height is 2.5, not more than 3. I can barely walk with 3. I can't imagine myself wearing 6. God, that really is torture! I saw some people wearing heels that's too high and the heels are small like it's going to break with each step. I wonder how the girls really feel wearing them.
Slippers are good too but I can't wear them to work.

|
de_angel97 (141) | 3 months ago | Hi prinzcy, i do feel the same way as you. I can't imagine myself wearing the 6. It is just scary for me to look at how their ankle bend in that 6 inches high heels. I felt like I am the one who feel the pain. I think 4 inches look very sexy, but it just hard for me to tolerate with it for hours. thanks for sharing here..

9. cher913 (13562) | 3 months ago | i am fortunate that ballet flats are in style because that is what i wear all the time! i have bad knees due to an accident that i sustained many years ago. i do have heels but havent worn them in years. maybe its time to let go eh? lol
| |
| |
|
|
de_angel97 (141) | 3 months ago | hi cher, sorry to hear you get your bad knees from an accident. If you still not comfortable with the high heels, i think maybe you should just stick back to the flats. Be well=)

10. realan (368) | 3 months ago | I used to wear heels before I had my daughter. Never over a few inches. I was never comfortable in stillettos. When I got pregnant and bigger, I would only wear flat or a small heel. I was so scared of falling. Well, I got very comfortable in that type of shoe and even now that my daughter is 9 years old, I still really haven't gone back to heels. I only wear them for very special occasions, like a wedding. I wish I could be comfortable wearing them again, since I'm only 5 feet tall and could really use the extra height. LOL!
| |
| |
|
|
de_angel97 (141) | 3 months ago | Girls have to extremely careful when wearing stilettos. I always scared of falling when wearing the 2.5 inches and above. Especially nearby the staircase.
I think high heels really can add up the extra height for you, maybe you can try on the wedges to get the extra height. I think it should be much safer than the high heels. Thanks for sharing here:)
