He is one of those actors i have seen for few times only on movies. I don't often see movies and i only remember him on Ghost with Demi Moore. quite a long time ago actually. i loved that movie. What were those movie you saw Patrick on it.
He looks like a very good person and very kind hearted. That was of my impression of him. And also he was gigolo back then.
I just feel bad for him to die this early. I feel he is still young at his age to die.

Oh wow, I never thought Id see this today.
I mean like you said he is still a young guy. But I think he did suffer enough. This is kinda weird because I was just watching a rerun of How I Met Your Mother and that episode had a character "wave" to Patrick Swayze in a restaurant. Sure, Patrick Swayze was not there in the episode but still..
Anyway, I did also love the movie of Ghost. I was also able to watch Dirty Dancing. But I knew him more from Ghost and his comedic scenes with Whoopi Goldberg. Though I gotta say that those are the only movies of his that I remember. Im sure I remember one more where he was sporting a khaki outfit and riding a horse, and I think that was on Hallmark channel. Im just not sure though.
Well, may he Rest In Peace.

yeah i think because the movie Ghost had a following from different age group. from kids to old people alike. i don't like dirty dancing. just by the sound of the title. i don't like dancing so much. so that was why i didn't bother to watch.

i only saw in Ghost, i never knew about those other movies he did. and so he did shine in other movies as well. i was wondering why there were not much of his movies being shown here locally in my country. i was hoping some years back another big movie for Patrick Swayze. though i knew he was in Dirty Dancing i don't like this kind of movie and so i didn't watch. i was hoping some like Ghost movie he had. a romantic movie and also with some dramas.

How sad he had been battling prostate cancer ,so we can only hope he is at peace now. He is most famous for Dirty Dancing in his earlier days, but ghost was a excellent movie also. You are right about his nature ,I saw him interviewed not more than a few months ago and he had said things were looking up. Thanks for the info.

yeah, no one would imagine back then that a healthy looking, gorgeous looking actor in his prime like Patrick would one day fall on this silent disease. it was really terrible. This disease took away one of the brightest stars in our time considering we are still trying to take a grip of reality after losing other big stars like Farrah, Michael J and some other i failed to mention. .

i was shocked back when he first revealed and came out with this condition. and after few months he came out on the news this time he was totally thin and did not look like the patrick swayze i saw in movies. i was really appalled and also get to realized how short and hard life can be.

My condolences to those he left behind on earth; his family, friends and fans; I believe I will love his roles in Dirty Dancing and Ghost the most because he played guys that got the bad end of the stick, but somehow, somewhere, they do right. I like to feel that fighting this cancer was one of his greatest roles; sadly, though the fight was long and valiant, it took him; May he be remembered for his roles and his fight. RIP.

Yes, I agree 57 years of age is a very young age to die. He did seem like a really nice guy, and he took his illness really well, and behaved with honor. He was actually a really good dancer to. He was in Dirty Dancing which was one of the best movies of its day. He also did another movie called Road House that I just love. But he did many, many movies over the years and even had a small role in Dirty Dancing 2, which was not too bad of a movie for a remake. He had a great carreer and a great marriage. Very, very sad to see someone so young, talented, kind, and handsome die at such a young age.

Yes you are right. Even if we knew that he has cancer, his passing away still shocked me. I liked in in Dirty Dancing and Ghost. Two of the most loved movies that I had watched. I do know that he is a loving husband. The latest I had read was that he had been married with the same woman for more than 30 years and that is an accomplishment.

when the news got out he had cancer, that totally shocked me already. and when i saw him like more a living skeleton and not the patrick swayze the hunk, good looking guy i saw on movies, i was like i can't believe my eyes, was really shocking. it just shows any one can go ill on the next no matter how strong and healthy they may seem .

yes he could have contributed more if only if he didn't die early. he suffered a lot and it was a shock to know he suffered a lot considering he was a very healthy and normal person prior to his disease.

Yes it is very shocking. There is something about this year. Michael Jackson..Farra Fawcet and now Patrick Swayze.. I think dying at 50s is still very early but maybe it's just their time. It's very sad even though I am less than half their age because I was able to follow their careers. I can't imagine how people closer to them and thei die hard fans feel right now.
