Why do people post ugly pictures of themselves on social sites?

i take much care before posting my picture in facebook or myspace...i will post only good quality picure, that everybody could see it and comment it that are looking smart..by seeing our picture itself people should identify our attitude and almost character, so everybody should take immense care before posting a picture in any social networking site..i really dont care abt those people who always post some kinda crack picture or dirty picture, they wants others to be attracted by their picture, everybody will see their pic for once, but they will not visit their profile again..

Some will post ugly pictures of themselves for some reasons only they themselves know. It may be so that other members will take no interest on them. Or it may be that they will hide themselves from people who know them. I don't have the exact answer to your question. For me, if I have a good reason, I might do it as well. But most of the time, I will post my true self.

Recently I posted a discussion regarding what these social networking sites which I heard from a talk show. They say that it is somewhat a form of self promotion. We put our pictures there so that everybody can see it. So for those who uses an ugly picture on their primary photos, I guess that's the image they want to promote. lol=) I don't know. Of course, me personally would always choose to use something good since a lot of people are going to see it. Who wants to be commented negatively either? We know that people are good at it so why give them chance to do that on you.

Well, my question is this: how can you judge a person's picture ugly? Maybe she likes the pictures! Not every girl is on the internet to attract guys, and even then, not every girl cares about how they look and how others look, because they see beyond looks.

i don't look good in picture. so i don't upload my pic. only one time did i post in one site. but it is a group picture and you can't tell who i am in the pic. but i am in the center of the picture though. anyways, that is only one picture i uploaded. i don't plan to upload more pictures. i am not confident of my looks actually.

A lot of the time if I don't have a recent, decent pic to post, I won't, I'll just leave the old one up. Sometimes my kids do weird pics and post them as a profile pic and they laugh about it. There are two of them that are over 18 and moved out on their own so there isn't a lot I can say about it other than comments to them. They say that they're letting everyone know that they're in a bad,good,feeling silly,etc mood and with a pic where their sticking out their tongue, crossing their eyes or hanging upside down, they say that no one can steal their pic and steal their identity.

WHO CARES, WHATS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD SO JUDGEMENTAL HOW A PERSONS LOOKS ARE TO BE LIKED OR NOT.

WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT IS HOW GOD INTENDED. THOSE WHO JUDGE A PERSON CAUSE THERE NOT UP TO THERE STANDARDS, MY MOTTO IS THEY CAN GO FLAKE OFF!!!!!

I LIKE PEOPLE DONT MATTER TO ME WHAT THERE APPEARANCES IS, ONLY WHATS IN THERE HEART IS ALL THAT MATTERS TO ME.
AND PEOPLE WITH UGLY HEARTS. ARE UGLY OUTSIDE TOO THEMSELVES.

I MYSELF HAVE NO TIME FOR PEOPLE LIKE THAT THERE LOW GRADE PEOPLE.

AND SOME PEOPLE WHO THINK THERE ALL IT TRYULY ARENT AND THERE UNGLY INSIDE AND OUT.

IM NOT BEAUTIFUL, BUT I DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OR SAY ABOUT ME BECAUSE IM HAPPY AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.

GIVES PEOPLE INSIGHT ON HOW THE WORLD IS WITH PEOPLE IN IT THAT LIKE TO JUDGE A PERSON CAUSE OF THERE LOOKS SO SHALLOW AND WRONG AND THOSE WHO DO THIS ARE UGLY THEMSELVES AND LACK RESPECT FOR THEMSELVES AND SURE FOR THERE PARENTS WHO UPBRUNG THEM RIGHT.

TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEAUTIFUL HEARTS AND WANDERFUL PERSONALITIES YOU RULE AND THOSE WHO DONT ARE FOOLS!!!

lol this is funny. well, ugliness and beauty are subjective. maybe that person who posted an ugly pic believes that he/she was beautiful in that photo. or maybe his/her friends told him/her that he/she looked really good in the photo too. some people just don't care what other people think of them.

Why? To escape the reality that they are uuuugggglyyyy hahaha, that's why i dont join such social networking sites it's just crap, i will join if that site pays me since "Money is Everything" for me, nways those ugly creatures tend to find some people that likes them, isn't it funny? Hahahaha, friendster? myspace? facebook? What's the point?!!! Btw, these people that post there pictures sometimes edit it using PS and they find it really funny or gorgeous for them. Hahahaha
