Apart from the magic and adventure why do you like potter books??

Hi there... I am a fan of harry potter books to. and like you, I love to reread them. Love and friendship is also what I like about the story. Of course I love the friendship between the main characters harry, ron and hermione but Im amused on the parts of james potter and his best friends. Then when I read the last book, I bookmarked the page when harry was reading lily's letter to sirius as well as the chapter "the prince tale". It made me love Snapes' character and felt sorry for him. But that was really great love..

I love Harry Potter series!!! I've read them over and over..especially if I don't do anything on my spare time...I love reading and i have a lot of books...suspense, comedy, romance, adventure etc. But with Harry Potter I really fell in love with it, JK Rowling is genius!! I remember telling my sister where and how did JK came up with those magic spells and potions name...its just really amazing...plus the fact that in every spells and potions there are different effects. Beyond the stories there is the effect on you the you cannot put the book down because if you do, i can't help wondering "what's next?" or "what will happen?"..its just addictive...Of course, i have to agree that the book taught us what real friendship is.

I find them an easy read but do like the detail and layers in the stories. Sometimes you discover something you missed the last time(s) you read them which shows skillful writing.

I also like the way she makes the characters multi-faceted or flawed. She isn't afraid to make Harry, Ron and Hermione a little bit flawed and therefore a lot more believeable and likeable because of it. She also evokes some sympathy for the bad guys whilst never excusing the fact they are bad. Again, that takes some skill and is something you don't often see in books for adults, let alone kids.

The first book I read in the HP series was Half Blood Prince. I immediately had a fascination with Ginny's character. So I guess it was the curiosity of wanting to know more about Ginny and, later, other characters that made me a Harry Potter fan.

In harry potter there is magic and adventure. More than this they have showed about moral values to be held in our life is the lesson to be get from that. As it is showen as the more powerful world than our real life there is a rule not to hurt any muggles if so they are punished very severely.

Well, the book is basically about magic so it sells mainly because of it, I guess the grand adventure comes in second. Friendship and love is also greatly maintained in the whole series giving that effect, that anything is possible if you just believe in yourself and in your friends and that whatever happens love will always pull you through. I get all that and believe me when I say that all those and more sucked me into being a Harry Potter fanatic.

But I think the real magic of the book series is how it was told, J.K Rowling weaves a magic web that get us hooked easily and made us love the idea that we are stock, without any plan of getting away, or something in that effect*grins*. Imagine the idea of Harry Potter with a different writer, do you think it will come out as witty and childish and lovable as it is.

I love the series because of what it is, I love it for the magic, the adventure, the love, the friendship, the wisdom and strength of each character. Aside from that, I love it because of the witty banter between characters, the out of the blue ideas and dialogues, the whole scheme, if I may say.

And just like any recipe, it wouldn't be as yummy or as complete without any of each.
