Can kidney stones come back?

I don't know much about kidney stones but I heard that they are likely to come again if the cause of it is not found and treated..
Childrens have more chance of the stones reoccurence..
The way to prevent them is taking the medicines and drinking plenty of water..

I would think that they can come back as i am sure my dad had that problem and he had to under go two operations,im sure there was a reason why he had them though.

Hi biman, yes, kidney stones often keep coming back. I have a couple of friends who has had real problems with them. Of course, they don't always keep coming back so it might happen only a couple of times if you friend is lucky. I know that it can be very painful. Blessings.

Yes kidney stones can come back, My husband gets them every now and then. and they can form anywhere in your body. I had one about 20 years ago and it formed in my saliva gland and the whole side of my face swelled up and it was painful, They did not call it a kidney stone, but they said it was just like one.

I believe they can. After all a kidni stone is onting byt minrals building up in the urithria or how ever it it is spelled. so Id suggest he drink plenty of water and stuff to slush them out.

It can form a new one, this is the result of the body not functioning correctly. Stress reduction and a change in diet are often helpful. This problem can follow him for many years if he doesn't correct it. If you have ever seen some one go through the pain of one of these stones you would encourage him to find out all he can to prevent it.

yes honey,it will come back especially if its genetically acquired or it runs in the family..i too had a kidney infection,but glad its not a big stone that needs operation..its just like sands..pain kept coming back everytime i drink coke or softdrinks..but not drinkin that much anymore m scared of the pain...and the expenses and hospital bills lol!

yes kidney stones and recur and the recurrence rate is quite high. It is very common for kidney to have stones again if not proper diet is taken
People with kidney stones appear to be more sensitive to many kind of foods and they should work with their physicians to make a diet plan . Drinking lots and lots of fluids is very important for them. More fluids you intake less are the chances to get the stones.
