Well there's an irony

This morning my daughter Dearra started vomiting, so obviously she couldn't go to school. It would probably be really bad form for her to vomit all over the science experiment or, even worse, the science teacher. So she stayed home.
Just now I got a call from her school. The high school across the street had some kind of chemical put on its lawn and now her school is being evacuated due to air quality. I could have picked her up at another school after 10:30. Only she's not there. Ironic.
Timing is everything.
In all seriousness, I hope she feels better though. 4th absence in 3 weeks from a kid who's usually really healthy.
Got any irony stories for me today?

I think so. I was working At TicketMaster making $6.50 an hour. This was quite some time ago. I was there for 3 years. I decided to start looking around. I saw a position that paid $8.50 an hour. I sent my resume, I got an interview. A few weeks later, they called me and I got the job. Some months later, I found out the call center at TicketMaster moved to another state. The only reason I had started looking for a job was to get more money. If I hadn't, I would have been out of a job!

Yes, I did take the job. It was while I was working at the new job that I found out that TicketMaster had moved. I don't remember how I found out, but I remember why they moved. They were having a hard time trying to find people who wanted a part time job that only paid $6.50 hr. My whole point was, I had no idea they were planning to move, but I got out of there.
By the way, a little update on that situation. A few months later, that company decided to change the bonus program and all of a sudden, I was making a lot more money. I was still living at home so I was stashing all kinds of money in my savings account. Good thing because about a year later the company closed. Now, I WAS out of a job. A few months later, I found another one that paid far less. But it was secure. Or so I thought. After six years there, A new manager was transferred to our location. She didn't like me from the start. So after working aqlmost eight years there, I was let go. Now I'm out of a job again. Only this time I have a house.

I can't get past that Dearra is sick again. I hope she is OK.
I presume the chemical was put on the lawn on purpose. Surely they were aware of the adverse effects?
I can't think of anything ironic, but I know there have been many. I'll come back if I think of one.

Guess I'll see what it was on the news or in the paper, they're already showing blurbs...
But the first two days she was sick it was a cold, Monday it was stomach cramps, today it was vomiting, so not the same thing every time.

You wonder what the heck they were thinking putting something down that was so nasty they had to evacuate 3 schools!
She's feeling better, thanks...

Iron? Irony? Nah, I am not into ironing!
I do hope that she feels better. If the other absences form school were due to vomiting or diarrhea it could be stress related. Like me - can't stop running to the bathroom today as
The One 'who thinks he's God will be here in 2 hours!!
I thought I had this under control but now I am almost hyperventilating with fear. So angry at myself

Says in a whisper: he came during my lunch time when I was having my roots done as all eyes will be on me tomorrow. It appears that he is now taking a little nap! Going on the road to pay some bills. Perhaps (says she hopefully) he has diarrhea!

That is ironic. I would think that they would keep better track of their students, though, and know that she wasn't in school. Our schools call if the kids aren't there. I guess they want to make sure the parents know, just in case the kids are skipping school or, even worse, something happened to them on the way to school.
I hope your daughter is feeling better soon.
