New York State is facing tough times and we are raising fees all over the place.

Yes my county taxes have sky rocketed and I'm so upset. It was $403.94 a year and now its $720.42 a year. That is a 316.48 jump that I really can't afford. So I have to put my house up for sell so I can move out of New Mexico. Its outragous and I would love to know who is pocketing my money.

I live in North Carolina and they have raised the sales tax. It is supposed to be just temporary until the current budget crisis is over. However, I will probably never live to see this additional tax repealed.
