Do you count the number in the parentheses against your name?

How many people count the number of comments/posts/discussion they have started, answered by looking at the number every time they enter something in the text boxes. Do you set a target for yourself that you would have the count increased by a specific number of you just keep on adding till the time you dnt think enough for today?

Hello there, hireshd! Well, I set a goal before but now, I just post as many as I can. And since the post count also decreases due to deletion, I just let it as it is. I keep on posting and I try to put quality on it to earn more. Both quality and quantity must be considered in order to earn more in discussions. I post short comments sometimes just for fun and as I know that it will not get paid. But mostly, I try to make long responses especially when sharing information or when helping a user or when answering a question. Have a nice day!

decrease? due to deletion? oh man, i was counting and now you have let me down! by the way, do you guys know what the most number of responsive comments someone has received ever? im amazed that some that ive seen have been around 80! does that mean that person got paid for all those relative posts? and just how long is the minimum you would have to reply to earn anything, and (yea another dumb question) what do those little stars mean? ie: how do you get them, do they make you earn more?

@ fezman Oh gosh! I see you are mistaken when I read your comment here. If we start a discussion and it receives responses, those responses do not earn for us - they earn for those that posted them. We earn for our own activity here on myLot. We can earn by going back and commenting on them otherwise they will not cause our own earnings to increase. They type, they earn, I post and I earn. Deletions take place when discussions, responses and comments that violated the Guidelines are removed. I suggest you read the Guidelines and the FAQs so that you are more aware of what to do and not to do to avoid wasting your posts, and time, here. : http://www.mylot.com/o/mylot.aspx

Fezman, mysd was right, we are paid by our own activity here and the amount we earn on discussions depends on the quality of posts here. About deletion, it is a part of life of members here sometimes. Discussions, responses, or comments that violates the guidelines are subject to deletion. If a discussion got deleted, the user who started it and those who responded will lose a post and the number in brackets near the username will decrease. However, you make it increase by starting a discussion and receiving first response, by posting a response or comment on a particular discussion for the first time. You can avoid your posts to be deleted by simply following the guidelines. Also check if a discussion if it violates the rules before responding. If it is, it's up to you whether you respond on it or not.

I don't normally. Every once in a while I will take a peek at it, but not commonly. I just post, without really counting my number.
