Will you wear the quilt to sleep while switching on the airconditioner?

I don´t live in the United States. I don´t have airconditioner at home. I just sleep with summer nightgowns.I like them shor and cotton if possible. I don´t have central heating either. In Winter, I put on more clothes (day and night). I have two gas heaters, one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs one is in my computer room. It´s small and look like a robot. The one downstairs is almost always off, except when I´ll have guests for diner. Then I heat the dining room and living room in advance. My room is also downstairs but it doesn´t have heat. What I do have is an electric blanket that you put under the lower sheet. I also have a downquilt. And I use winter pyjamas. In my country we save a lot of electricity as compared to others. Today, for instance, I washed clothes because the sun was shining. I have a dryer but haven´t used it for more than 10 years. I suppose all that is something you learn when you are small. I don´t even have to think to do all this and I don´t miss airconditioner.

It is harder to sleep when it's hot and also when it's humid so we have our house cooled to a comfortable temperature when we go to bed. We actually keep the temperature a little bit higher during the day.

There are a lot of people who are like you. I know people around here like my Aunt who recently passed on that used to sleep during the Winter with the Heater on all except her bedroom and slept with a Fan or window open and then used a lot of blankets. To me since I am so Cold blooded it never makes much sense, but I know it is also easier to sleep when it is colder, so I would think this makes a lot of sense using a quilt with an air conditioner as well.

Hello, Sasalove, the weather here is very hot also. I usually turn on the airconditioning at night only, and I never wear quilt when switching on the airconditioning. I feel the same as your mon, it's too wasteful, and it's also not eco-friendly. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

A suggestion comes from environmental protection organizaion. please pay more attention to energy-saving to fight against global warming. to answer the call, personally i keep the fan with much lower power than air conditioner turning on while sleeping, LOL.

Yeah,it is a very bad habit.You should know that sleeping while switching on the airconditioner is not just a problem of wasting electricity and it is bad for your health.You can't breathe fresh air and the environment is very bad in airconditioning room.
