we Filipinos know how good Noli as a commentator during his years at DZMM and at ABS-CBN. now I am very disappointed on what he had turned to as a politician. he was against trapo before and now he turned into one. reading this new news made me more scared on what our country for the future will be when we rely on people like this. i was expecting that Noli will be the one who would give his life for the Filipino people and now he turned like what the others has become. http://ph.news.yahoo.com/gma/20090919/tph-no-apology-from-noli-for-outburst-in-d6cd5cf.html that is the news i am talking about. how rude noli has become. very disappointed on how he treats poor filipino people. which side he is on already?

I have nothing against militant groups... but what they did is indeed rude... because they interrupted his speech in front by chanting and shouting not so polite word at him... they could have aired their sentiments when the speech was over... there is a time and place for everything... but i must agree that he should have not used the word "Tamad" or "Lazybone"... since we all know that unemployment is rampant here in our country... and competition to get a decent job is so stiff... But we also need to remember that there are people who call themselves poor who are also taking advantage of the programs set for them by the government... like selling the housing units awarded to them for a small price... then they would go back to the city to live under bridges... i know of some people who have made a living out of doing this... Our world is not perfect... not all rich people are taking advantage of the poor... and not all people are poor because certain circumstances... they are poor because they chose to be that way... by not working hard enough to rise up to the predicament they are in...

I don't think resigning from a the job is a professional way to handle it... this just one incident... hardly even something... he just practice a little tact even if he is in a bad mood...

I was able to see one of the videos on the news. I was shocked by his reaction over the protesters. He was really different this time. I don't know what caused him to be like that. The peoples reaction is of course expected because what they are saying is the exact situation in our country. What is happening here?

Well, it only proves that the only constant thing here in this world is change. We may not be able to understand his reasons for such changes but I do hope there is really a substantial reason.

I must agree with asertdd, anyone can get irked by doing an instant rally against your being there to show that you support the poor and yet you are not appreciated. Instead of allowing him to distribute the titles they instead would shout bad about him. If you were in his foot do you think you could afford smiling still to the people there and ignoring those protesters from insulting you. I truly believe that the poor has some issues they could have made an effort to make a peaceful dialogue with him which I think am sure could reach him without any fuss. The protesters instead wanted to dramatized their concern and what they got was just disappointment and from this I think they would not get any support from the VP. There is proper way of making dialogue with him and if it fails then they can say all they want to say. But they made shortcut in their methods.

yeah it seems that rallying has been a habit of almost every-body. they should have just give him a chance to speak first. or, I've always known that it could have been a set-up just to completely get rid of him and his image. There is proper way of making dialogue with him This is one way that the poor didn't see at all.

it is really disappointing to hear or to read something like this, specially when you know that person was figthing for the rights of poor people before he was elected in office. how rude the way he address the poor people andnow he is figthing for the wrong intentions. i disagree that those people are tamad, it is true that there are no work. he is blinded already of his political rank

precisely! he was elected for the reason that he will be the one who will listen to the voice of the poor people. and now he will say bakit ako magsosorry? . so that is a good way to talk to people who voted for you? very rude that is whay it is very disappointing. thanks a lot for the response

I think this is the first time he got mad, and it's quite disappointing too. Although he may have some points,he should not have acted that way especially being seen on national TV. On the other hand, I don't think he will run again especially for president or vice president. Sad to say, I did not see much of his achievements as a public official. Thanks!

That's probably why he's not running at all because he knew it's too ambitious. how ever, he should have been a gentle man and said it professionally in an exclusive interview. if they have nothing nice to say, they shouldn't say it at all, most specially if they're public officials.

VP de Castro should know his limitations. He is good for radio and tv broadcasting. The masa likes him. The students and the yuppies watch him for the evening news. The parents likewise tune in to his viewpoints. No doubt about his dedication for serving the people through the media. But with legislation, he comes a little lacking. More so as a VP of the executive branch. He could have reached out to the poverty-stricken deprived because he is in the position to do so. But power has a way of blinding even the good ones. He chose infomercials for himself. Now, let's talk about somebody else...

I think for me at that time when he did run for senator, it was a bad idea for me because he was a news caster, he should have stay that way. yeah, those infomercials, such a waste that he too became a prey for corruption by other officials.

thanks for this for this will help me decide whether to include him in my priorities to vote for. that news disheartened everyone.i can't believe he had done that and this will just show that his heart is fake.
• Philippines

yes very true, by this people will have the easiest way to decide if he still needs to be included on the list or not. yes he is a fake and a hypocrite person that politics has changed him. i am very disappointed, he is no longer fit to be called kabayan. thanks a lot for the response

yeah i think that we can't really trust any one once they entered politics that they become more selfish and interested to get a position than to serve the people. lately i don't like his behavior on television. totally different from the noli i knew before.

i agree, they are more on getting the position than serving the filipinos who voted for them. wait voted for them? may nandaya nga pala. but there are a lot of people who believe that noli will help them, but now its a different noli. thanks a lot for the response

I guess "Noli De Castro" is tired, i think he has done he's job very well..But i guess some of us don't know the sacrifices and the hardship he has done for our country.. Most of us, are visual people..meaning "too see is to believe". We often admired or liked other people because we always show him do good things. How about the other who doesn't like to show themselves but are secretly helping our fellow Filipino people.. This is one mentality that would never chance in us.. When will we wake up, how can our country become progressive if we always look for the bad side and not the good things in each of everyone of us.. I always like the saying "Be a Blessing to each and everyone and Always look for the good side".. If we can only set these on our body and soul. We will definitely be a great nation someday..

maybe he is tired, serving the people is really tiring, he should have think twice before taking that role. i dont think that attitude he gave, the people dont deserve that. calling the people KSP? coming from a VP? very disappointing. if he has plans to run again better think again. we need to look at the bad side so people can improve. if we always look at the good side then how will we know if there is a problem. we can be a great nation someday if politicians will serve the benefit of the people and not for themselves. just my opinion. being a public servant is not easy but he was determined to serve the people during his campaign. thanks a lot for the response

I still think seeing the good side is more efficient, i am not regretting about seeing the bad side of each individual.. But its still much better to always be optimistic in life..

now that he has turned to be a trapo, then he must be treated like one. throw him at the trash and no longer use it. very disappointing, specially the attitude towards poor people, that this people expect him to give them a hand. thanks a lot for the response and have a good weekend

jeepney - This is a photo of an old jeepney in the street of Manila. It is a form of transportation for most of the filipinos.
As an anchor and newscaster I think Noli de Castro is one of the best we have here in the Philippines. But after he won a seat in our government everything has changed. I use to admire and believe in him that he may be a great contribution to the welfare of our nation. But with his term as a senator same now as our vice-president I never saw him made a great project (well aside from housing project which revolving a lot of intrigues) and I never heard him being active with the needs of our people. And with that news, it completely given me a straight answer of not voting him or giving him another chance to have a place in our government.

there you said it and i agree that Noli is one of the best anchor and newscaster in the Philippines... then i think he rather stick to that. just my opinion. for he was not that good during when he was a senator and now as a VP. granting that he is tired and what ever he was feeling that day, he should have still accomodate the people, thats why they are called public servant for they need to serve and cater to the people. thanks a lot for the response

oh, what's happening to the philippines? i had a high regard for noli de castro before but this seems to tarnish his reputation. i cannot even begin to imagine the line-up of candidates in the 2010 elections...

just like you most of the filipinos has a high regard on noli, they see him as the person who will think of the filipinos before his own benefits, but now it is no longer that way. it is more on thinking what the president will and how it will benefit them. this is painful for all who supports him. thanks a lot for the response
