If ur in India you will know this. Today the High Court gave an unprecedented verdict. In India, it was not legally permissiable to adopt a kid of the same gender as the biological child. If a parent had a girl child of their own, legally it was not possible for them to adopt another girl child and vice versa. Adopting a kid is Godly service. Innocent kids need to be given a decent life. Will You adopt a child who is black, with physical and mental deformities?

it really doesn't matter whether the child be black, white or brown. that is of no issue. but someone who is physically and mentally deformed, i would have second thoughts about it. with the present economic situation my family is, i don't think i can say that i am capable of adopting such child. i am a widowed mom with 3 children and earning is just enough for us. if i were a wealthy lady, i would have no hesitation in adopting not just one, but maybe, two or three children with deformities. it really takes a lot of professional care and support and if i am rich, i can easily do that by hiring professional help to care for these children.

I am not strong enough to adopt a child with defects either physically or mentally.
I becomes difficult for any parent to face the world with his child who has defects.
Its like the child has to face the cruel world and so do the parents of the child.

I could not decide on this matter as i am still single and only my parents would decide if they are willing to adopt a child with those disabilities. depending also on the financial budget. but, the only things we could guarantee even we could not adopt a child with disability is to let her place to a shelter who will be the one who could take care and look more on her situation. Then, will just gladly gives donations to be use by her for her care.

I admire those who adopt or who have a mentally and physically handicapped child, but it does take a special person to be able to do it. I don't think I am cut out for it, because it must be a full time job in raising them, to which I am not able to make it that.

Those who are biased should not adopt a kids as they'll not provide the necessary love and support for this kid. In addition, anyone who wishes to adopt a child with physical or mental deficiencies have to know how to deal with these deficiencies first before they even think of adopting them. Without sufficient knowledge, the kid might not get the support & understanding he needs too.
