However I prefer going out with just one person and all my friends seem to be men and I am a women. I wouldn't want them to think it was a date or something. I know that's ridiculous but I get really paranoid.

I don't mind taking the kids either, depepnding on the movie we intend to see. I would not go alone, so, when the mood strikes me to go out to a movie, if he doesn't want to go, we just stay home.
