1. alyssakenzie (410) | 3 months ago | I have been very lucky through out these hard times. My husband does construction but they have plenty of work to keep them busy so that has been wonderful and something I feared would not happen when things started getting so bad. I work in the health care field so I have also been lucky since that is one of the few area where they are actually having a hard time finding enough employees to work. I know several people that I have not been so lucky and some have spent well over a year out trying to find a job with no luck. They keep saying the worse is behind us but I will not believe it until the unemployment rate started to drop once again. It is scary to think about how high it has gotten and all the people that are out there trying to find a job and can't and they are struggling to pay the bills.

4. KrauseHome (13406) | 3 months ago | It is so True that the unemployment rate is crazy, and it makes me appreciate having a job so much. My husband works for a retirement home in maintenance and also as a Driver taking the people to Doctors apts. etc. and has been there just over 24 yrs. now. I am a calltaker aka dispatcher for Yellow Cab in the Seattle, WA area and have been there for just over 3 yrs. I would Love to eventually move on to something a little different but might have to wait it out for sure.

6. Hatley (20317) | 2 months ago | hi mgmagana well I am now retired at 83 but I did work as a page in a library up to age80.and before that I was a nurse's ' aide for many years. My son was a computer programmer until he lost his job 11 months ago, and he is still out of work. this unemployment rate here in Ca. is also outrageous.I swear if I could once again use my left arm I would go back to work in the library if it would help any but alas I cannot lift it as i have an artificial shoulder joint and I have never recovered the use of my left arm. There really are no jobs here either.it is so sad,
