McAfee saying : Yellow to Mylot  

I do not doubt myLot, because I've never experienced something strange on my computer. This site seems to always go through some software that might cause your computer hang up. I'm sure they will immediately check if something is not working properly.

I think I have once had a warning from either Firefox, AVG or FreeDNS that there may be a problem with MyLot (I don't use MacAfee but there are various other, similar services). The warning, I think, related to one of the advertising blocks rather than to MyLot itself.

I believe that MyLot try hard not to run adverts that use underhand methods but they can't always control what their advertising suppliers stream to them. As I recall, the problem was solved very quickly and I've never had it again.

Different people in different countries will see different ads. Many of the ads are displayed according to the country you live in (determined by your IP address) and also according to what page you are looking at (determined, I think, by the Interest group, tags and other keywords on the page), so not everyone would necessarily experience problems with adware at the same time.
