NCIS: Los Angeles was disappointing  

I didn't watch it as I don't even watch the original NCIS. But my parents loved it, as did several of my friends. I've read posts from Gather members who loved it too. I was most surprised by the good reviews from critics. Usually if a critic loves a show, a lot of people hate it. If a critic hates a show, a lot of people love it. I read that NCIS premiered to 20 million, and NCIS: LA premiered to 18.3 million. Both won their times slots.

Seeing as it is a procedural, I often wonder how long the writers can keep it fresh. Maybe they'll get the feel of the show they want to make and it will get better.

I had to leave the show right at the end, right after they discovered that the father was involved.

I love Linda Hunt's role, I thought it was GREAT to see her again.

Hello again; I watched this also, I enjoyed the show but I guess
like you and others too we've all watched this type of show for so long
we can figure out what is going on LONG before they show it to us (G)!!

I will watch it again it to see how things play out I bet at some point
this season the two shows will cross over again this time though NCIS LA
will probably go out EAST since NCIS went WEST to them last year ...who knows??

NCIS now becoming a franchise?? I hadn't heard until just this past hour (through a blurb on CBS) that NCIS is now going to have a NCIS: Los Angeles. So now they will have a franchise in every port city no doubt. Patterning after Law and Order and CSI. I shouldn't be surprised, those spinoffs are always successful shows. I wonder if this NCIS will be as good as the original.
