The US Senate voted down an amendent that would have required the Health Care bill be posted on the internet along with cost estimates for 72 hours before the Senate votes on the bill. Their reason was that if posted it would only confuse the American people. IF that is the case then maybe the plan is worng and should be voted down.

The Senate obviously has something to hide. It is not the people who are confused... the people understand very well, and that is the reason they oppose the Healthcare proposals.

The American people want healthcare reform not a new government program. None of the bils address reforming health care they just deal with more government power.

Wasnt this a campaign promise of the President? It worries me when ever they feel they have to "rush" through something that is going to cost us trillions of dollars! As far as confusing the American people, this worries me even more. Maybe their right, if we are too stupid to read the bills, then maybe we are too stupid to vote. The we really did get the government we deserve.

You forget that this is not just any bill but it is a critical peice of legislation and we can't wait. What are they afraid of is that people will have a chance to read the bill and find such things as nex taxes, changes in what is taxed, and the payoffs given to unions. You have to understand that the laws are very difficult to understand. Even a smart man like Rep Charlie Ranggle, who writes the tax codes, can not understand that he has to pay taxes.
