Do you take any medication to help you sleep?  

I was just prescribed some sleeping pills to help me sleep it's for a short period to help with my patterns as of lives events for me I have not sleep all night through for over a year or more now...

i think, in the long run, taking any kind of medication would reduce the effect of the medication
so take less meds
try drinking milk, or reading a book, listening to music to help you get some Zzzzsss..

I've taken something a handfull of times, but never on a regular basis. I figure that my body will make me sleep when I really need it. I might be sleepy for a few days, but I will survive.

I too was put on a sleeping pill along with some other meds to help me sleep. I was on them for about a year and then I decided to try it on my own. Im not having a good time with this. So I ended up taking Tylnol PM to help me. I just cant shut down the brain to go to sleep. Are you thanking about taking sleeping pills?

I was given Diazepam, for anxiety, to help me sleep instead of laying awake worrying and having panic attacks. I took it once, and it really worked. As in, 10 minutes after taking it, I was so relaxed I couldn't move. Then I fell asleep and my partner couldn't wake me up, I slept for 12 hours. I never took it again, it was when my daughter was a baby and I didn't like the idea of not being able to wake when she cried.

Hello Jugs. How are you ? So far, I have not used any sleeping pills. I do not have problem with sleeping. Every day, I fall off to sleep easily. That must be because of the tiredness after long stressful days at work. I listen to relaxing music in the evenings after coming back from work. That very much helps relaxing and falling off to sleep.

I think may be because I'm still young, I don't think there is any need for me to take medicines to sleep. In fact I'm thinking of taking some medicines to stay awake so that I can utilize more time towards my daily activities.

No I don't. I probably should though. I rarely sleep through the night. I haven't even brought it up with the doctor. It is just something I have learned to live with. Taking pills tends to scare me.

Nope I prefer natural remedies like hot tea with honey, or hot coco and a hot bath before bad it dose help. because those sleep aid drugs can have bad side effects and they can also be habit forming, so for me if I need help getting to sleep I go the natural route instead.

I should take sleeping pills! I don't sleep through the night and have not in years! I also got in this really bad habit of eating after midnight because I wake up and feel I need the comfort! I will just buy some over the counter pills and see if that works! I'm sick of this!
