I had a discussion the other day about this and I felt that it went rather well. I want to make a habit of sharing what I am thankful for the day although I will admit that there might be some days that I cannot post but for now here is the list for today. I am greatful that I made a little money today. I am thankful that I have clean clothes. I am thankful that I have been able to eat everyday although this month has been rather hard. So that is my list for today. Take care and I thank anyone and everyone that responds to this discussion, happy mylotting as well.

I responded to your other discussion about this, but wanted to add that I am thankful for you having this idea, as I will try to utilize this idea everyday. I may not respond to your discussion, but I will stop and think about all the things I am thankful for. The day you started this particular discussion was the day of my husband and my wedding. I've listed the things I am thankful for in that discussion for the week of our wedding, and even before and after that. I want to also say that I am thankful for the internet so that we may make a little money for us, and to give back to our friends and families. I appreciate your discussion.

Good to hear that things have gone well for you today. I am thankful that I most of my major assignment for this semester is over. Just a little more to go and ill be done. I am also thankful that I managed to save a dog that ran onto the road while I driving. That was a close call, had I braked half a second late the dog would have been flattened.

What i am thankful today is that I survive the big flood a while ago while going to work. My umbrella broke because of strong winds and I was wet when I got to the office. Thank God that there was this lady vendor selling umbrella and i bought one. I safely reach the office. I will be really thankful with God if he will stop the rain. Floods are everywhere in our city right now. I can't figure out how can I go home. Our house was flooded too. I am really afraid of what happen to my family there. They were texting me a while ago but right now I haven't received any text coming from them, I am really worried. Please God stop the rain. I am really thankful whatever happens.

I must have missed the original discussion; so I'm a bit out of the loop with things..But I'll try to catch on. . It's nice that you look for things to be thankful for each day - we definitely shouldn't take what we have in front of us for granted. Here's what I'm thankful for (for 9/25/2009, though, because it's not midnight yet here!) 1.) ..that my dad bought catfood. It was only about $5, but still! It was nice of him to do, because I didn't have any time to do it after work. 2.) ..that I could afford to eat Chipotle today. 3.) ..that work was slow enough for me to read magazines and get paid for it for 3 1/2 hours. 4.) ..that I have my health and family.

Hey Little Mamma...I think its very nice that you take the time to reflect on what you are thankful everyday..We are all too quick to just complain about our lives and how bad we have it etc...I used to be guilty of that too, but not anymore..I thank God everyday for the day and for what I have no matter how trivial it may seem to someone else..Across the street from where I live is a large apt complex and I have noticed this suv parked there for the past couple of weeks that always has people in it..At first I couldn't figure out what they were up to and then I found out..They are living in the vehicle and they have 2 small children..It seems they lost their home as have so many people here in South Fla and all the shelters that house families have waiting lists..The mom is doing the best she can, uses the shower at the pool to bath kids and every day they go to school looking clean and well dressed..hair fixed etc..I see her doing homework with them at night and they listen to the radio for entertainment afterwards..They eat their meals at the Salvation Army and the husband goes to work everyday..I feel so very bad for them and have brought them food and snacks for the kids a few times a week..I let her use my phone and have offered them my shower but she says that they are ok with the pool shower...I hope that nobody alls DCF (children and families) on them as the children would surly be taken away which is her biggest fear..She says they should have enough money to put down on an effieicney soon..Its things like this that make me realize how lucky I am to have a roof over my head and food to eat..This economy has many people in the same situation and its just a sad state of affairs that we are in..I wish I had money to give them but I barly get by myself and just cant do it..Like I said, I get down on my hands and knees every night and thank God for what I DO have and include those that are much less fortunate in my prayers..
