Firefox glitch?

since I upgraded Firefox, I've been noticing a problem when I have multiple tabs open. Every once in a while, when I click on one of the tabs, it suddenly opens that tab in a new window! I'm not doing anything different than what I've always done, but this is getting to be quite annoying. How can I avoid this, and is there a way to get the new window to go back to being a tab in the original window?

In my opinion the Firefox team is rushing to develop certain things on the browser, because one or two other browsers are getting praises from many users. As a result they miss out on the robustness of the code.
For a few months I used Firefox for most of my surfing activities. I am back to using more of my previous browser due to stability problems with Firefox.
We will have to wait for them to rectify the problem.

I am experiencing that too! And yes, it's getting to be annoying.
I also don't know what the heck am I doing to get a tab jump and open itself in a totally new window!
I usually close that new window and re-open the site again in a new tab at the original window.
I'd love to know too what the solution to this problem is. There should not be any automatic opening of tabs without a user's permission! LOL
