A Christmas present for a sister studying in Sweden?

My older sister, Carla, who is in her last year of college - is going to be studying abroad starting in January. She's studying abroad in Sweden for about six months. Christmas is shortly before, and I'm wondering what on earth I can get her that she may actually NEED while abroad. WHat are some of the ideas that you have? I usually get her trinkets or handbags and usually go all out. What would be useful for her to have with her in Sweden? My only idea is getting $100+ in Swedish Krones (Swedish currency) and giving her the cash on Christmas - as spending money or whatever. Is giving your family members money for Christmas tacky and unoriginal? And if you like my Krones idea, how could I creatively package it? Perhaps put it in a wallet? Anyway, I'm open to any and all suggestions!!

I think the money is a good idea but an alternative would be a nice warm jacket - gets pretty cold in Sweden that time of year.
