Ughhh!!!
It is just so annoying, don't you think so?!!! I encountered several discussions with this kind of responses and it really tests my patience to slam them. When you need some answers and this is all you receive, how would you feel? What is the price of a friendship?? Spamming with 'whatever' links??? Please share. Thanks!

I do encountered this type of discussion. However,
I think the main reason is they are not allowed to
put the link of the site at the discussion. If this
linked is put up, it may risk the whole response be
deleted. They are playing safe.
So, the only way they can tell you the link / information
is by PM (personal message) to you via myLot. If you do not
add them as friend, they can use the PM facility.
So, it is up to you to see and decide...all the best

Hi, Iriene! It is understandable about the referral links. What I mean when they just randomly go and spam some discussions. It's quite irritating, you know. Anyway, don't worry about the double posting and typo.

I find it to be somewhat annoying. I see it comes from not only newbies but from some who have been here for awhile and should know better. I must confess that at the beginning of my mylot 'experience' I did it too because I read the guidelines and didn't want to violate the terms with a link. Then I got wiser and would name the website because I figure trying to get a referral is not the only reason I'm here. Now when I see those comments, I try to kindly ask if they could just tell us about the website they are talking about. To give us responders a name to put with the website and we can decide for ourselves if we would like to join.
Sincerely in Christ,
Leesa C.

Hi, there! Yes, the website's name would be helpful, but I guess it's much better if they could tell us briefly how it works and so and so, so that we could have a clearer picture. Then, of course if we are interested we have the options to join under them or not rather than add them as friends, but later on they will just spam our inbox with referral links.
Thanks for your response. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

same feel with me, I dont like to do that either but that's how they try to get referral. dont bother to read if you think they will ask you for friend request.

If they do join in the discussions and share how it works, most probably, there will be more people who are curios and interested to find out rather than getting annoyed.

hi corry crystal,
well in make extra money there are lots and lots of the discussions where the starter of the discussions would ask you to add him or her or if you are in his or her friends list then Private message him or her for the link. Also when i get someone sending me add request here i do usually approve them and they would usually send me one or more links telling me great money making sites and unfortunately most of them are scam sites so i dont usually bother.

Hi, Sweetie! Exactly. Sometimes if the poster explains further on how it works, I admit I'll be very interested to know more.
What annoyed me most when this poster was asking about something like tips on getting more referrals, the response from the other users who are just interested to promote their links was to add them as a friend first then they will tell more. 'Come on, share a bit and I might join under your links!'

I too get highly annoyed with this repsonse. Not beause I don't want to be friends but because when I am asking a question I would really like a response in a reasonable time.
Alot of time I will become their friend and then they won't come back for over a week and except and give me a response. That is so annoying.
Why start a discussion and then when asked a question they don't respond for over a week

That's why, they are only interested to promote their referral links and have no actual interests in becoming your friends. They will just barge into your discussions and sometimes randomly, and spam your discussions and if you add them, your message inbox will be flooded with referral links.

With this social networking sites, there are some use this sites to promote their business and some would just mercy for replying for a discussion to increase the ratings. I think its a silly to create friendship here on the net. It cannot be trusted.

Sooner or later the discussions with referral links will be deleted, so, I don't think so it will help in increasing the ratings. There are also offline friends that cannot be trusted, but the risk is higher when you make friends online. Anyway, thanks for the response.

Oh, corrycrystal, it's really boring, I think. Sometimes I received such text messages on my cell, but it usually those we called deceptive messages here. And I've never encountered online so far. - Maybe I'm luck.
Usually, I will ignore such information. Even if I'm interested in the content at first, this information has had enough of boring me. I won't do anything further.
It seems I'm forced to do something, I really don't like it.

Hi! Maybe you are lucky.
As you go through the discussions here, sooner or later you will likely to notice or stumble across this kind of responses or friends request where these people who leave such comments and request for friends are only interested in leaving their referral links to you. Anyway, thanks, Happy myLotting to you.

Hi, Adhyz! Yes, it's easy to delete.
However, what I meant was more to where you have seen discussions asking for advices and opinion especially in the money making sections, but they were not even sharing their experiences a bit. They only put one simple line to add them as a friend then only they will tell. I think this is one of the reasons why there are so many similar discussions created because there are no quality responses.

I do come across some discussion with this kind of responses.
Perhaps they are not allowed to ut the link in the discussion
as the whole discussion will be deleted. So, to play safe, they
need to add as friends before any myLotter can send a PM or personal
message via myLot. Some could be genuine and some may not as you
mentioned. All I can say is if you find teh myLotter is reliable
and genuine, then you can add as friends

I think I too read those discussion before.
At first I was wondering why they said that.
Later I realised that putting up the link
is against myLot T&C. It is considered a
violation and the discussion / response can
be deleted. I normally did not reply to
this type of discussion...

Hi, James! They just want to make it quick and simple, add them as friends, and they will spam your inbox. Yeah, those discussions with referral links will be deleted eventually...

hi corry^^;;
i know what you mean by this and i have seen several lotters who are posting the same discussion and topic over and over in a day. I usually browse discussions under the "new" category and every page that i went, i could see the same users having the same topic in like 3-5hours interval.
it really pissed me off because i know they are just trying to lure and get referrals since they are offering some amount.
finally, i think they were banned since i could no longer see those postings again...good admin

Hi, Lucky! Yep, I've seen that before. I ignore those discussions with referral links, but some users might be really interested to learn some tips on how to get referrals, and it's really irritating when you read a response like 'add me as a friend and I'll tell you'...
