choosing the gift is hard

Ya you are right it is a little bit difficult to buy a gift for our friend.And the main problem is that whether he/she will like our gift or not.

I know that gift cards are popular and people genuinely want to let you know they love you when they give you one, but I felt insulted the one time I got a gift card. The person couldn't be bothered to shop around and find something they thought I would like. (I'm easily pleased, by the way) A gift card says that the giver is unwilling to take the time to find something that you would like.

Maybe it's just me, but I won't buy them or give them.

ElicBxn, you are right, your ways suit for everyone, but DIY is more difficult for me;
maybe i should learn something

right now I'm doing little cross stitch kits, maybe next year I'll try doing some shirts again when I have more time

one year I did matching sweatshirts for my niece and my sister and a tee shirt for me - the niece is my brother's daughter so the only time we could wear them together was at Christmas

I did the tee for me because Texas is too hot for sweatshirts most of the time

design it - nope, not that good, but I follow a cross stitch pattern, using the waste canvas, pull it out and there it is - stitched on the tee shirt or sweat shirt

what you do is also called DIY, different feeling and ways
i find that you can do a lot of things, very good, a good woman
such as design pattern, homemade soup, maybe you have others interests that i don't know.

the only craft thing I've discovered I really don't like so far is knitting... I'm also less than fond of embroidery - as in those stitches that can be pretty long - long stitch embroidery I've even heard it called...

I taught myself to needle point in college, learned how to cross stitch in the mid-1980's. I crochet, not that I'm real good, but I can get it done, can't read a pattern tho - same stitch, over and over... I've done polymer clay, made soap and candles, not to bad and am always interested in learning something new. And yes, I learned to sew back in middle school - something else I'm not real good at, but can do.

i am glad to meet you, from you i learn a lot, whatever happen in the future, but now we should work hard, believe the process can lead to a good result.
