 So, we already have 2 cats and well we need to get things in order in with a new place and me start working again. But I would like to get 2 dogs actually. I want a chihua and my husband wants a german shephard. Like I said we have 2 cats ones a persian and the other is a tabby cat. Would these be okay with one another. Does anyone have any dogs and cats together as pets and I know that there may be times that they might get along. But I would like to know what other peoples opinions are like and experiences with having cats and dogs. Thanks.

So, my husband and I are moving and we are thinking we may need a dog and I have told him about maybe getting a puppy, so the kitten can have someone to play with. So that may work, thanks. 2.  trilliansramblings (150) | 3 months ago |  I had cats and dogs growing up, and my grandparents had cats and dogs. As long as you get the dog as a puppy and let it interact with the cats from the beginning you shouldn't have any problems.
With me and my grandparents, the dogs mostly left the cats alone. Sometimes the dogs would get curious about the cats and start sniffing at them, which would annoy the cats, but we never had any problems with the dogs hurting the cats.
