Chocolate Dipped Licorice |
|
There is this chocolate place around here called Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate. They have quite a wide variety of chocolate dipped items. One that kind of surprises me is their chocolate dipped Red Licorice. I thought about trying it, but then again it does cost quite a bit for what it is. Have you ever had chocolate dipped licorice? What is the strangest thing you have had dipped in chocolate?

3. Weirdology (402) | 3 months ago | That sounds so good! I wish there was a place around here that sold it so I could try it. Maybe I'll make my own.
I've tried a few chocolate dipped things, but I don't think they're considered strange where I live. I've had chocolate dipped apples, cherries and bananas. The bananas and chocolate were frozen to, after being dipped. It tasted great!

4. fluffysue (764) | 3 months ago | I have to say, chocolate dipped red licorice sounds wonderful, though I've never tried it. What is the strangest thing I've had dipped in chocolate? I'm not sure. I've seen chocolate-covered potato chips, but didn't try them. That just sounded strange to me, but I know many people like sweet and salty flavors together. Pretty much almost anything would taste good dipped in chocolate!

5. AmbiePam (15339) | 3 months ago | How odd. I never would have connected the two. I don't really like licorice. It doesn't have much of a taste to me. I did a discussion about a week ago about a shop that sprinkles their chocolate icing (iced?) cupcakes with crisp bacon. But I think the strangest thing I ever heard about that was dipped in chocolate and eaten, was a chocolate covered cricket. I don't know how this company stays in business. It's in the United States too! It was either the Food Network or the Discovery Channel that did a segment on it. Anyway, they dip the crickets in chocolate, have them dry, then either sell them in the store or ship them out to online customers.
