if a friend likes you, but the feeling is not mutual, what would you do?

get the message clear and understood. The only thing more awkward than a situation like this is leading on the person by accident because you haven't made yourself clear enough. I suggest taking a calm easy approach but letting that person know exactly how you feel about them so there is no misunderstanding. I have been in a situation like this myself. I didn't make myself clear enough and now the friendship is really severed.

It happened to me once. I told him that I didn't have the same feeling.. The bad part was I went away from him and we lost contact for 4 years... But now we're friends anymore.. Maybe it's because we alread have our own lover..

young, which I am not,I would make it clear that I can not
be this person's girlfriend but I maybe a friend if that
counts. as an elderly woman here at Gold Crest I hav several
men and women friends here,not romantically just good friends
there is a whole lot of difference in romantic friends and
just good friends.
