hi swadey well stare back at him and I will be he will be
confused and move so he doesn't have to look At y ou.a lot'of
times when we think people are staring at us, their minds are
'far away and could care less about you. change your seat if
the man or woman freaks you out. don't just grimace and bear
'it. we all have choices after all.

I haven't had this happen to me, but I don't ride trains very often. However, I was in Hollywood with my niece, and we had this creep follow us for over an hour.
We were walking around the main strip, you know following the stars and reading whose names were on them. Then we happen to notice this guy was following us. We decided to go down a different street, there were still stars, but it wasn't as crowded as Hollywood Blvd.
We walked down a block and then back up. He started following us again and actually grabbed at my niece, who was 17. I said something to him but he didn't back off. So, we walked into a costume shop, when we came out, he was still there. Next we went into a Magic shop, by this time I was getting a little nervous, but didn't let her know.
One of the guys in the shop distracted her, while the other one went aside with me and we called a local security company that is hired by the shop owners and citizens of Hollywood. A couple of guys were there within 10 minutes, they told us to stay put and they went after the guy. After about 30 minutes, we were able to leave safe and sound.

When that happens to me I just stare right back at them with an annoyed look on my face until they look away. If I catch them doing it again then I stare back again with a more annoyed look of their face. Once they realize that you are noticing them they usually take the hint and stop, if they don't then saying 'excuse me, can I help you?' will usually do the trick.
