How do you feel after playing SIMS 2 for hours? |
|
I confess, I really am a Sims 2 addict that whenever there's no class or there's plenty of free time, I'd be on the computer for hours and hours. Really! After playing for like, 5 hours straight, I feel like I've suddenly developed a mild case of schizophrenia because I'm detaching from reality. When I was the dishes for example,my left finger itches to press the fast forward button so that the task could be finished right away. Another is when my rooms a mess and I'd have to tidy up, I feel like typing "move_objects on" and delete all the offending trash from my room.
How about you, what are your stories? I'd really love to hear them.^^

| 1. twistedquest (24) | 3 months ago | I've played the Sims! It's quite addicting! It's fun to create yourself and your friends or just random Sims! Ive played almost all of them except The Sims 3=( I also played for hours it was fun, but I found myself really hungry after playing for too long. Oh and my eyes would itch! You should take breaks to rest your eyes and eat it's very important. I definitely know what you mean with a simple click or push of a button you can change your room or empty out the smelly trash! Wish it was THAT easy in real life.
It was even more fun when you would put in the cheat codes on your PS2 or Gamecube and have access to everything in the game and create your dream house and have all the fashions and styles of everything! When I played the Sims on the PC and discovered you could download custom skins online I went crazy and would not let go of the mouse! I still play sometimes, but I find myself busy going to work and cooking at home or playing other games. BUT I STILL have my eyes on The Sims 3 because I heard YOU CAN NOW WALK ACROSS THE STREET AND MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS! FINALLY! I am soooo excited=D Just don't break out of reality or else how are you going to support yourself and pay for more cool games?

2. Weirdology (410) | 3 months ago | When I first got Sims 2 I played it a lot. But now I hardly ever play any more. You think five hours is bad? I went a day straight on my first time playing!
I haven't experienced any of the thoughts you have had in real life though. That would be so cool if we could do that. If I could pick one thing from the game that could happen in real life, it would be the design mode and buy mode. I would love to be able to stand in the middle of my room and have all the options appear in front of me. Then I could choose my favorite wall paper, windows, and furniture and have them appear in my room as soon as I choose them! Windows already installed and everything!

Weirdology (410) | 3 months ago | Oh! I forgot about the original question on how I feel! lol. Well, after playing for a few hours or more I usually feel happy because my Sims usually accomplish their goals pretty fast. And I don't use most of the cheats, so it feels even better that I made them happy. (They're not even real people though. Is that sad or what?) If I play for a short time I feel like not much has gotten done in my sims life.
My first time playing, after getting off the computer after a whole day, I went straight to bed and dreamed about playing the Sims. I don't remember what happened anymore, but I remember dreaming about them.

| ladyella (88) | 3 months ago | see? the game really does weird things to us, doesn't it? sometimes i find myself wishing that the world was as simple as the sims' life. when there are strifes and conflicts, you can always choose not to save the game; when you run short of money, s=you can always choose to chheat and get some; when there's a fire, you can always exit the game and not save it. see, i am becoming weird. haha.

4. katsalot1 (881) | 3 months ago | I haven't played for ages, but was just about to! Thought I'd just take a look on Mylot first - and saw your discussion. I have had the same sort of things that you mentioned happen to me when I was playing a lot. Another really weird thing that I have noticed is that when you hear the toddlers talking on Sims2 you think it sounds unrealistic, but several times when I've been out shopping I've heard children sounding exactly like they do on the game.

5. SomeCowgirl (8410) | 3 months ago | Your saying that whilst your doing these chores in real life you want to press the fast forward button or type that command in so as to be able to get rid of the trash? My husband and I have the Sims and Sims 2 on the game cube, but we borrowed the sims 2 on pc from my uncle. I got the sims 3 for my birthday but it doesn't work on our computer.

6. abbypringles (856) | 3 months ago | I do! When i start playing it, I get so into it that I often do not realize I have already spent a few hours playing it. and it doesn't help that I am using my psp to play this one, which enables me to play this basically wherever i am, which i think is fueling the addiction.

7. hellcowboy (4861) | 3 months ago | This is an interesting discussion, and I am sure that a lot of people out there are addicted to The Sims 2,me and my wife have The Sims 2 on Game Cube, and we borrowed it for the PC from her uncle but we gave it back because we have nothing to do with him,and The Sims 2 is a lot of fun,and me and my have sat down and played it on co-op for several hours at a time,I love the fact that you have things to do to get one hundred percent completion, and those are the types of games I like, and hopefully me and my wife will sit down and play it again soon, since we recently bought another Game Cube controller since one of our old ones stopped working, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.
