wHats the difference between a lie and a white lie??...

"A little white lie" is not intended to hurt anyone, but it seems necessary to avoid a negative situation. It is a "lie" with good intentions, therefore not just a mean lie. A lie is intended to hide a truth or to cover a mistake. It is totally negative and self serving for the one telling the lie.
Reality says that a lie is a lie, whether it be a little lie with good intentions or a bigger lie with selfish intentions. Neither lie is a good lie.

A lie is a lie, regardless of its colour.

I do know people who lie to others to further their own benefit however they get caught even if they don't realize they were caught. Karma will get them in the end so if you know someone is lying don't worry, don't get stressed, just let them believe they got away with it.

I can usually sense when someone is playing me for a fool by lying to me, I have sensed it more times than I care to share, in the end the truth comes out, their dishonesty creates negative feelings around them, and that creates ill feelings and laboured friendships that ultimately find their demise.

I recall one lie that I could sense for months almost like the person was planning it to try and hurt or cause hardship to the person they were lying to, in the end it didn't cause the hurt or hardship to the person being lied to but the person doing the lying ended up being excluded.

Lying does no good for anyone, be truthful or say nothing (I say nothing usually and people misread that for lying - I don't think that's lying even by omission) I was brought up with if you can't say something nice say nothing.....

well a lie is straight up when you tell someone that isnt the truth. and to me a white lie is if you were say a cop and you go to someone family because they were killed in a car accident, and the family asked if they suffer before dying. and to make the family feel better you tell them no even if they did.
but lying is just wrong i am a very honest person and i tell it how it is and dont belive in lying something people get mad and sometime they dont
