I was perusing around Netflix Instant Movies and I noticed at least 3 different American Pie movies - other than the first 3! One was called "Naked Mile", the other called "Band Camp", and the other.. I can't remember the name.
When did all of these movies pop up? And why? And is it with new characters, or with the same old Alison Hannigan/Jason Biggs/Tara Reid/etc crowd, or with new characters? Or is it a new cast of people? And why did anyone think it was a good idea to come out with MORE American Pie movies? ..Weren't the first three ENOUGH?
Nothing against American Pie.. I actually loved the first 3 and thought they were hilarious! It just irks me when certain movie franchises feel the need to try to keep going with something that is.. dead. *shrugs*. Have you seen any of these "newer" ones, like "the Naked Mile" or "Band Camp"? What did you think? Were they an utter waste of time, like I would imagine them to be? Or were they actually good/funny?

Heya, I was as surprised as you when I saw there were other "American Pie"s out there, while I was browsing in the video store. I didnt recognize any of the leading characters but I borrowed them anyway just out of curiosity for "Band Camp" and for lack of any other videos to watch so I got the "Naked Mile". These were separate occasions by the way.LOL
Anyway, the spin-offs would be about a relative of the original Stifler. I think there was one about a brother and one about a cousin. I kinda forgot their names but Im sure they're a Stifler.
The only character I know to have also been present in the original American Pie Trilogy would be Jim's father, played by Eugene Levy. There were some moments in the spin-offs that were 'American Pie original' inspired, perhaps you might recognize some of them if you decide to watch them.
However, I wouldnt recommend these films to someone who wants to watch a good movie or if they're expecting the same kind of witty humor present in the original American Pie.
