All I know is that you need to do the math. If they're there primarily to get membership out of you because they're earning from it, then that's a scam. The products are only as sideline because all they want is your membership.
Another way to spot a scam is if they tell you that you can't get your commission or royalties if you don't buy products for yourself every month - There's a maintaining thing.
You'd know that it's not a scam if they don't earn anything from your membership, meaning the person who recruited you won't get rich by taking part of that membership fee. Plus, when their products is of the same value as those for sale in other shops.
