Divorced? How long have you been married before you decide to get a divorce?

I was quite surprised recently when a colleague who only got married 1/2 year ago told us he is going through a divorce. I also know old friends from university who split up with their husbands after less than 2 years
I've been married for just over 2 years and still often feel like a newly-wed, so I am surprised that a marriage can break down that quickly.
How long have you been married prior to splitting up?

I have been married for 6 years. My married life started with happiness. but after several years running, it turned into sadness. My husband started to glance at another woman. I do not know what the reason my husband. I face now is my marriage would break up shortly after 6 years of marriage.

Really these people are lucky, they don't have years invested in a relationship that would never bring them what they expected. Even if they are married after a long live in relationship, often marriage is a mistake and a miscommunication between them, the one thing they realize is that it's not what they wanted and they don't waste time trying to make it work.

I don't disagree. I just find it strange that people find this out shortly after marrying. Nowadays most people know each other for a long time before they get married, so there shouldn't be any surprises.
