 I was quite surprised recently when a colleague who only got married 1/2 year ago told us he is going through a divorce. I also know old friends from university who split up with their husbands after less than 2 years
I've been married for just over 2 years and still often feel like a newly-wed, so I am surprised that a marriage can break down that quickly.

Marriages can break down these days quite quick,
His was 25 years ago and he said he knew he had made the biggest mistake of his life marrying the girl in the first place

Even if they are married after a long live in relationship, often marriage is a mistake and a miscommunication between them, the one thing they realize is that it's not what they wanted and they don't waste time trying to make it work.
