Is it always advisable to prove that your are right and insist on doing it?

When I was a lot younger, I will never rest until I've proven that I was right and the other person is wrong. I will fight for it at all cost. As time passes by, I kind of feel that this attitude doesn't lead me anywhere and I tend to lose friends instead of gaining them. Later on, I notice that my attitude is slowly changing. Maybe it depends on the issue involved but nevertheless, there are times that the best thing I feel I should do is just to give way. What do you think?

manong05 well if you kept on insisting you were always right no matter what, you would end up being very lonely. People would tend to steer away from you but now you are maturing and you realize each situation is different. YOu do not have to be a pushover you just have to use the common sense we all were born with but do not always use.
