do you like read the traditional books or the ebooks.

I don't read e-books, because my eyes gets tired easily on reading something in front of the computer so i just prefer reading the traditional books which can be borrowed from friends or from the library.

I still like reading the traditional books...it feels good to buy a new book and have it and hold it and displaying it in your room as your collection. Call me old fashion but I find reading E-books really strainful in the eyes. lol.

I definitely prefer physical books over online books. You have to physically engage with traditional books more than with online books. Traditional books have a distinctive smell. They smell like a well-cared for home. They smell like happy memories and children's imagined adventures. Books have character. There is not much that is better than curling up with a good book.

To be honest if its a choice, i will always prefer reading traditional books. If you have hundreds of E-books stored on your computer and it gets wiped you lose everything. While if one book gets it cover ruined, you can still read it. Traditional books are better really.

I prefer reading traditional books over reading e-books. I have a difficult time reading things on my computer for a long period of time. I find it easier to read traditional book.

I also prefer reading the traditional books, but sometimes ebooks works well, specially when I'm reading at work. lol. It would seem that I was just reading a normal material for my work, when in fact, for the last days i have been hooked on the twilight saga. lol.

Though I don't do this often, cause it really hurts my eyes, plus I don't get any work done. hahaha. the last ebook I read was the lost symbol by Dan Brown.. the book is good and I'm planning on getting a copy when the paperback is released. Hard bounds don't really work for me, they are heavy and hard to read. hehehe.

I prefer traditional books because sometimes if I stare at the computer for a long time, I get headaches. However, ebooks are easier to find and cheaper than traditional books. I usually read business ebooks but if it is a novel, I prefer reading it in traditional book form.:)

I prefer to read traditional books because I don't really like reading off of a computer screen that much. I have to strain my eyes and keep on clicking down and I prefer to flip pages. Plus staring at a computer screen for too long makes my eyes hurt.

Traditional books ftw. I cant get myself used to read on a computer, so i find it really hard to do it. Though I have been tempted to read from an ebook since im looking for the dragonlance books and its impossible to find them over here.

there are some big advantages of e-books to traditioal ones.
1) you must not go to the library. That can save you time for sitting in the bus, waiting for the bus and so on.
2) you have no risk of fees because you are late with the return of books. You also have no stress avoiding the fee to be on time with the return.
3) you cannot get being annoyed by marks and other impurities in the books and in particular notes written by your fellow students in the books (of course, sometimes they are nice to read, but anyway they are distracting). You also cannot get being annoyed by library staff blaming you of having done that.
4) you can reduce the risk to become infected...in particular if you like to take the book with you in you bed.
5) you can download some of the greatest works of the greatest minds in physics and other areas, print them and call them yours. Buying them at amazon or at the book shop can be extremely expensive.
6)you reduce the risk of getting lost in the library, since there are so many interesting books which you really would like to work through but are totally irrelevant to your current assignments...
7) you can be much more faster working through a book if it's an e-book. Since you are forced to think about what you are reading and not just excerpting some important passages and feeling fine with the illusion that you know what you are writing-which in fact has been thougth out and written by a greater mind...You can also make notes directly on your computer and try some applications of what you are reading. You also have direct access to actual measurements and data and so on.
8) you have much less things to take with you, for example if you move.

I think that the modern monitors are well suited to spend an appropriate time reading through a book at it. I myself have never had problems with that.
