Chinese tradition limit that everyone don't have encouragement express their love bravely, though they love more people, but they will hide their love in the bottom of heart. Me too. Why Chinese people can't say "I love you" loudly to their lovers? Why don't I have the encouragment to say" I love you"? Since I joined mylot, I found friends in mylot very kind and sincere, so I love you, mylot friends.

LOL It's nice that you're stepping outside of your culture to do something to gratify us here at MyLot. I don't know you, but I appreciate the gesture and think it's nice. My culture is totally different, probably opposite - people say "I LOVE YOU" way too much actually, even when they don't always mean it.

Yeah, I admire you can say this word" I love you" to everyone, but I can't, if I said this to others in my country, they will laugh me and thought me as a madman.

Hi bettydeng5! I didn't really know that chinese people are having a hard time saying the words "I LOVE YOU". Well then, you just broke the tradition. That is good. Being expressive is not bad at all, be true.

hum... i don't really know what you mean, i am chinese but i say "i love you" to my family each one of them and also to my ex-boyfriend without hesitation that was when we were still together, as long as i really feel that way, the only time it was hard for me to say this was when my ex-boyfriend was still courting me and at that time i wasn't sure of my feeling to him. but when i was sure of my feelings there was never a day that i didn't say "i love you" to him. i think its not the culture but its the person.
PS: i love you too mylot friend.
