Hello my friend shellback Ji, As retired person's wife, we both enjoy health benifits from our helth services. Recently my elder son who to is a Govt employee and met with bike accident could claim his money under policy. I do agree that even corporate sector must have some fool proof mehods to take care of their employees. May God bless You and have a great time.

I actually have had a couple of insurance problems. Despite what the previous poster said, I had problems with pre-existing conditions coverage when I went to work for a new employer. I received a letter stating that pre-existing conditions wouldn't be covered for a year. Although DH and I had none at the time, I fought them on it but it took 6 months before they agreed to cover them. However, the worst problem that I had was when we retired early and we took out an indiividual policy. At the beginning of the year, DH suffered a stroke, hit his head on the pavement and sustained a creative brain injury. I wasn't with him and he was taken to the nearest trauma center and emergency surgery was performed to remove a blood clot from his brain. The insurance company stated that they would only cover 50% because the hospital was out of network and the Doctors were as well. I filed a grievance which not only goes to the insurance company but to the state insurance commission as well and I finally won but again it took 5 months for the insurance company to agree to pay the over 200K balance and another 3 months for them to actually pay the providers. I have one final issue to get resolved with this company and then I'm changing insurance companies as soon as possible.
