Yes, I can't agree with your idea any more.
When it comes to the music, I am feeling so disappointed for the profits have made misic under control. All signers now have laid too much emphasis on the money other than the quality of the songs. Sometimes, a signer who have no ability of singging may also be popular for its background and wealth.
In the area of music, more and more musics has become too commercial other than more valuable. Of course, perhaps they have to change for the society and surroundings are always changing.

Because of the technology even if the voice of the singer is out of tone they can make it salable. The music are more techno and computer generated. I'm not against of that but I think because they want innovations that's why they making a new trend when it comes to music.

songs from yesteryears are the best music for me, there are lots of songs today that i can't understand the tunes, the lyrics and everything, but not all. but for me, i still love the songs from way back then compared to the music today.

I don't know about other genres of music out there but I feel that R&B as well as rap/hip hop music has changed for the worst over the years. The music today sounds so generic, everybody sounds the same, using the same beats and singing about the same things. I guess they're okay by todays' standards but I can bet that no one is going to remember any of these songs 10 years from now. They're just that forgettable. I also hate the lyrics for some of the songs out there. They have no meaning what so ever. All I hear them sing about is money, parties, girls, bling bling, and all that other junk. Whatever happened to the gold old days where the lyrics were meaningful.

Whether is for profit or simply just creating music, they appear fascinating more and more. People who wanted to make it a profit tends to compose music with it highest quality. With all the technology available today, creating music is very much easy for composers. But as time goes by, a hit will not be as popular one or severals years after its released. Not unlike those 60's, 70's and 80's where musics are loved by anyone until today.
