if money was never introduced to us, do you think life would be simpler and there would be less evil ways in the world? if we only knew about trading and barter of goods, do you think anyone would be called rich, or richer? or would it be industrious and successful? would there be poor people? what is your opinion?

dear professor,
based on stories there were already powerful people before money came into existence. power means richness hence i think having gold or money should not be the basis for being called rich. one may have money yet he doesnt have real friends, still i call him poor.
i agree that richness from the heart - of love and compassion for others is the rich thing one could be very proud of.
happy mylotting.

What a good discussion, Personally, if we reverted to the barter system, I think there would be players who would still work out a way to rhort the system, but then again the poor wouldn't be able to not help themselves, and would have themselves to blame for not getting off their seats, to do something worthwhile. However, we would still have the greedy, and the lazy, and to an extent those contribute to todays society.

Hm, nice topic you started here.
My opinion is, if people would've stayed as they were thousands of years ago when communities used to trade things and get along in a better way (I guess), we would've lived in a way more peaceful way.
But since society changed because of new necessities that's why we are where we are.
