How did you overcome COFFEE ADDICTION? |
|
I am currently trying to avoid caffeine intake lately. Usually when I'm studying I need something to sip. A companion--this is the role of coffee during my college days and review-for-exam s nights. I am aware though of the benefits of coffee but lately I just realized that I had to cut down my caffeine intake and eventually stop drinking coffee. So I opt now for Lipton Cranberry, Raspberry and Strawberry Tea. I haven't drunk coffee since last Saturday. Have you stopped drinking coffee? How did you do it?

1. muscles4me (8590) | 2 months ago | I also tried some of the flavored teas and most of them I did NOT like. I do like the Orange Spice and one I have not seen for awhile which ic Amaratto but I keep looking for it. I also buy the lite coffees alot which is just half the caffine.

| AnneGerly (15) | 2 months ago | I usually add a teaspoon of sugar. This is what I actually hate with teas! But I came to like drinking tea now, but before it was like drinking hot fruit juice. It sucked. But hey, tea is now my new study-buddy*.:) (just finished college, but I'm currently reviewing for a licensure exam, so studies aren't done yet for me. but soon, really soon I'll be able to do other things...):)

muscles4me (8590) | 2 months ago | Do you live in the USA? I like Lipton teas the best but I do not like sugar in my tea. Try the Lipton Orange Spice and also if you can find black tea try it too. I am still looking for white tea but can not find it in tea bags.

2. involved62 (630) | 2 months ago | I never was a coffee drinker although I love the smell of coffee. I get my caffeine boost from Coke which I consume a lot in a day. Of course, I have troubles sleeping at night because of too much caffeine. What I do is to stop drinking coke at least four hours before I go to bed and this practice usually helps.

| AnneGerly (15) | 2 months ago | During my coffee days back in college, I usually had problem sleeping at night so this was what I exactly did, too--drink coffee at least 4 hours before hitting the sheets. same worked for me.:) so it really takes 4 hours to dissipate all the caffeine to have a good sleep. thanks for sharing it.

3. divinegwapa (374) | 2 months ago | hi gerly! first of all, welcome to mylot! I hope you would enjoy it here.;D haha. Just like you, I love coffee too. But ever since I discovered that it is one of the causes why I'm experiencing acid reflux once in a while, I decided to lessen my intake. You don't have to stop right away. Just take it slow and what you are doing is right, replace it with something else.;D
