Anyone seen that yellow jackets are bad this year?  

This year we are being taken over by yellow jackets. I have never seen them this bad. The past 2 weeks we have had thousands of them in the yard and around the porch. They get angry very fast so I cant even let the kids go out and play on the weekends. The school is telling kids if they see them on the play ground to tell the teacher on duty, then kids are all sent inside for recess. I hate to say it but someone said this means a very bad winter this year. With the cold coming early this year and snow in places it may be true.
