Killing a fish for revenge?

I read another article this morning posted under "odd news" While what this man did was disturbing, it made me laugh. The man was from Oregon and had been in a relaionship. The girl broke up with him and he became very upset. She came home one day and he was in her apartment lying on her bed. She told him there was no hope for their relationship and she left the premises. When she came home later that day, her beta fish was on the floor with a knife through it. The man literally stabbed her fish to death. He's excuse was "if she can't have me, she can't have the fish) Just a note, he bought her the fish. I don't think that makes it right. The man got a restraining order and was found guilty of animal cruelty. He got to years probabtion. I wonder where his head was when he did this, what would make someone decided to stab a fish? What is your take on this story?

Since the girl told him theat the y r re;lationship was ending and walked out it must have taken some time for him to adjust and understand wht went wrong then he must have felt what ever gift he gave her might not been in use so the gift was a fish thought to take the fusturation on it poor thing is she was there then the story would been different cannot imagine what would have it been.

This is a sick person that needs help in staying (or becoming) sane in this world. If he is capable of killing a fish he might start killing other living things or even injuring people (or worse). It has been shown that some people that injure or kill people start off by injuring or killing animals. He needs to go to a doctor to find out what is going wrong with his mind.

How do we know that he did not kill or torture animals while younger?We do not know the whole story.

That is very true, but typically the killing of small animals starts out when they are adolecences not grown men!!! But you are absolutely right the man needs help

I feel sorry for the fish, really.
It might be an animal and can do as human do but it doesn't deserve to be treated that way. I don't see why someone should do anything like that. I am not a vegetarian and I eat meat but I don't kill them with such manner. It is sick what he did.

I agree, and he killed a beta with a knife!!! Just a bit over the top if you ask me.
