Am I the only woman with chin hair?

A friend of mine has the same problem as you.She tends to try to pluck the hairs in her chin out as it takes alot longer for anymore of them to show up.I know it is a painfull job,but she said this is the best way for her.

You are not alone. My sister, the nurse, says it's a hormone thing. There's a cure, an expensive one, but there is a cure. Laser hair removal. The reason it's so expensive is it takes more than one visit to get rid of it forever. I had it done once and it does takes quite a while for it to grow back. If you do decide to try this, shave before you go. It seems to work better.

You are not alone. I have a few hairs that keep growing in. I pluck them out when they show up since it's only a few. There are alternatives. You can have lazer hair removal which can be expensive. There are facial depilatory creams. Waxing is also available in most salons. I think we just have to accept that we cannot change the fact we have facial hair and pick a solution we can live with.

My mom and a friend of mine have hair on their chin. My mom has a few, but they are blonde, so she doesn't remove them. My friend has one hair that is growing out of a mole. Even though she is blonde, the hair on her chin is black, so she plucks it.

I hate it to. Mine started about 7 years ago and I purchsed a pen sized rotating battery operated razor especially for women. And NO the hairs have never grown back course or darker, I only need to use this about once evey 2 weeks.

Yep. I "suffer" from them too! lol
Did you ever see the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"? There is a scene where they are getting ready and they are all crowding in front of the mirror. At least one of them is plucking chin hairs. I love that scene. It made me feel a little better about things. I felt less...alone. lol

I too get chin hair as well as hair on my upper lip. I shave every three days to get rid of it, but it keeps on coming back. I am not sure what else to try besides laser surgery (I know this is expensive). I also get hairs on my neck.

I think a lot of women have this problem, but are too embarassed to say anything about it. My mom has some sprouting from her chin, too, so don't worry about it. I most likely will have the same problem when I get a little older, but I'm okay with that. What were tweezers made for?
