It is the sacred thread that is tied around the wife's neck by the husband during their marriage... It is yellow in color...
It is indian Hindu marriage style..
We also use rings but it is not a most important it is just like the gifting each other. But, thali is important thing during marriages here.

That's not compulsory... I will remove it and use it only at special occasions. But, we preserve it safely.. Yes, it is just a ornament but we take care of it as it is first thing we shared during the marriage.

I misplaced my ring a few months ago and keep telling my husband that I really need to find it,but he doesn't seem too bothered.I know I put it in a safe place,cause I normally take it off when I play sport...but it's trying to find the right place...that's the problem with having too many safe places.lol
I realy do need to find it though..I don't wanna buy a new one.

My necklace broke because i was cleaning it every after use. Then accidentally, it broke off.

My ring was misplaced when i was washing my hands. I left it beside the sink then i forgot all about it. I remembered it after an hour so when i went back, i haven't seen it at all.

My bracelet fell when i was inside our car. I was taking it off that time then it totally lost my mind after i get up from the car, i did not see it at all.
I am always losing jewelries ever since i was a kid. When my mother brought me and my sisters a pair of earrings. I was the very first girl to lose the other pair.

So i guess i have to put an end to this habit.

Aww.. that would be very sad. I guess i will just be careful next time. A note to self i mean, everyone: "Do not wear real jewelries when commuting. It will only attract robbers."

Fortunately, i have not yet been robbed in jeepneys. But i have seen robbers who rob passengers. I was lucky that i am sitting almost at the edge. The part without any windows. So i suggest you to sit there too.

I might replace it with a small band so show I am married. I would tell my husband I lost it and say how sorry I was. I would not expect him to purchase a new one that was also exensive.

?? Well I am an American and here in America wedding rings ARE BANDS. Most are plain especially if the woman has a big diamond in her engagement ring.

Very expensive. Hubby paid about $5,000.00 for them. I have been unemployed for almost 2 years now. Then, one of our daughters got in some legal trouble and we are now caring for her 2 children...we can hardly afford to take care of them! Money is just too tight right now!
