Home Depot going downhill?  

I had heard about a year ago that Home Depot was supposed to merge or buy out or something, with K-Mart/Sears Holdings Corp. In fact, the Super K-Mart nearby painted their building the same color orange as the Home Depot. Like I said, this was probably close to a year ago, and nothing else seems to have happened since then. Have you heard anything like that?

As far as them getting rid of qualified people, from my own retail experience, it seems to happen just about everywhere! It's a shame, but any way they can save a few bucks, they will!

No I haven't heard anything about Home Depot, but it really don't surprise me, because a lot of these stores, are cutting back their employees, and giving them fewer hours to work, that seems to be going on everywhere,and when you need customer service you can't find it, because the store has cut back.

I am do not understand about Home Depot, what kind of industry is that?

I haven't heard anything, but I've heard horror stories about buying appliances from them because once you buy it you're on your own--if there's anything wrong with it they won't honor the warranty or do anything to help you, the customer service is awful, etc. My family never buys appliances from them because of all the terrible stories we've heard about people's money going down the drain because they bought lemons from those people and were stuck with them.
