If you are from the count y was the city what you imagined it would be and .....

.. if are from the city did the country meet your expectations when you first traveled there? I was raised in a big city (Chicago) but my school is in a very rural area and born sit a culture shock. For the most part, people are extremely friendly and caring out here and sometimes I want to stay away from Chicago for a little while. I like that many grocery stores caring items grown by local farmers and they seem to taste better to me let alone the fantastic lower prices. I also love all of the trees and wildlife that I usually never see in the city. There are some bigots out here and a swastika on a building not to far from a church and grade school was disturbing to me but I know that sort of things isn't representative of how the majority of people are. Did you have a big culture shock going from urban to rural or rural to urban or was everything pretty much the same?
