Hopefully it's not being confused with him making his 1984 short "Frankenweenie" into an actual movie with Disney

It hasn't been officially announced (or commented in any other way) by Tim Burton, so maybe it's just a rumor. We also don't know if he will be the director or only a producer. | |

I can't imagine these dolls in the script of 1984, on camera. It would totally change my perception of what 1984 is, and is about. For me, 1984 was an instigator of paranoia and delusional thinking. It is important to me in this way, but it will be inviting to have the merciful difference featured in the otherwise sad story line.
