Save for Vacation or Put it on Credit Card

I save as much as I can, although these days it is difficult since I don't make a lot of money. But I don't use credit cards so I have too.

i am the one who saves up money for my vacation....

I am the type of person who saves up for their vacation and pays it off before I even go. If I don't have the money to save ahead of time then clearly I cannot afford the vacation. I don't like having money on my credit card. I may use my credit card for some things on the trip and pay them back once I get home, but I would never put the entire trip on there if I couldn't pay it back when I got back home.

Although we have credit cards my husband & I prefer to save for our vacation rather then using the cards. Now if we run out of money like we did when we were vacationing at DisneyLand(boy that place was exspensive) then we used the cards, but only then.

Well, there was a time in my life that I would have been the type of person that would put my vacation on my credit card and then worry about how I was going to pay for it later. But now, I am the person that isn't even going to consider taking a vacation until I know that we've saved up enough cash to pay for every bit of it. Nothing from now on is going to go on a credit card for us. I just think it is stupid to spend money that you don't have readily available. It may work for some people, but it doesn't work for us.

I prefer to save up and then go on my vacation. I wouldn't like to put all my vacation expenses on my credit card. If I did I know I would have the bother of paying for it. When I went to New Zealand I put some things on my credit card. Then I got a shock paying it all back. I got home then waited for my next teaching contact to begin. I got a part time fill in sort of job that was lowly paid. It was challenging to pay off the credit card debt. I believe I could spend £2,000 far quicker than I could pay off such a high debt.

We used to just put it on the credit card however, the debt started to catch up and some time pass us. We now save up for the trip but we used the card on the trip, them pay off the trip when we come back We use the card if we should have any problems with the airlines, hotels, or even travel agents. With using the card we will have details on our spending. Safe trips to all.

When I go on vacation I want to leave all the stress and problems behind and knowing I'm coming home to a huge balance on my credit card kind of kills the mood if you know what I mean.

I like to plan for it, save for it and then relax!
